Arbitrator, Mediator, Fact Finder
Michael G. Whelan is a labor and employment arbitrator, mediator, and fact finder. He has studied and worked in the labor relations field for over 40 years and has served as a labor and employment neutral since 2008. In the past 16 years, Arbitrator Whelan has been appointed to hear over 450 labor relations disputes. He has a master's degree from Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations, and a law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Prior to retiring from the Legal Studies and Communication Studies faculty at Ithaca College in 2017, Arbitrator Whelan taught college courses in Arbitration, Collective Bargaining, and Courtroom Procedure and Communication.
